What is 'Our Cup O' Tea', anyway?

logo - our cup o' tea

You may see a symbol, littering the posts around ‘An Englishman In San Diego’, and be thinking to yourself, “Why is there a teacup and saucer on my ‘pooter screen? And why the hell ‘Our Cup O’ Tea’?”

Well, if you’re from the UK, you’ll know exactly what this means: it’s our ultimate stamp of approval, a positive show of acknowledgement.

You watch enough TV, enough movies, read enough comics, you’ll know there are enough Brits working in comics and pop culture today to make attending San Diego Comic-Con pretty much an Anglophile’s wet dream.

This way, we can spread the love for these Brits in an easily identifiable manner: you see the ‘Our Cup O’ Tea’ logo, you’ll know that that post contain mention of one of our kinsman, an Englishman, Irishman, Welshman or Scot (you’ll spot these pretty awesome individuals because, while the key names of the piece will be capitalises, THEIR names will also be in BOLD!)

‘Our Cup O’ Tea’: because, in case you haven’t noticed, we’re everywhere.
