As we get closer to SDCC 2016, we’ll be inviting special guests to come on the hangout and talk about their relationship to the event – our guests this week have become portals for pop culture fans to experience the con, even if they can’t make it to San Diego in person.

Flicks And The City is a UK-based pop culture site, specialising in movie & TV reviews, interviews, comic con panels and easter egg & movie facts videos – their YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/flicksandthecity) is bursting at the seams with high-quality, broadcast standard clips which, if you’re a SDCC fan, you WILL have seen online… And yet, they attend Comic-Con as standard press: no special access, no feed to the desk. How do they achieve such incredible results, when they attend Comic-Con effectively like the rest of us? What material do they see as the priorities to capture to share with the wider world? And how do they balance high quality content creation with actually enjoying their con?

We’ll be asking all these questions and more when Jan Gilbert and Edward Yoxall, along with Brandon Troy from Reel Film News, join us for a chat about their plans for San Diego Comic-Con – and cons around the globe – on this week’s show.

TALKIN’ COMIC-CON: A CUP O’ TEA WITH AN ENGLISHMAN IN SAN DIEGO is the weekly San Diego Comic-Con Hangout On Air taking place every Sunday (6pm GMT / 10am PT / 1pm ET) and hosted by Leonard Sultana.

Each week, the best bloggers on t’web talk about San Diego Comic-Con, about con & pop culture and, for an hour or so, we invite guests to talk to us and get nerdy and geeky about everything that orbits the Best Pop Culture Convention On The Planet!

YOU can watch and interact online, either by Twitter (tweeting with the hashtag #CupOTeaSDCC) or via the Hangout Event Q&A. Schedules permitting, Leonard will be joined by guests from the SDCC blogging community and some surprises!

Our Guests, this week:

If you have anything you’d like to have discussed in these Comic-Con shows, please put a suggestion in the comments – we’d love to hear what you’d like to talk about. And don’t forget to join in the conversation LIVE during the show, using the Q&A button in the video preview above or on Twitter (#CupOTeaSDCC)

See you all this and every Sunday at 6pm GMT… LIVE!
