Home News From The 'Verse Trailer: McAvoy and Radcliffe present an electrifying new take on Victor Frankenstein

our cup o teaIt’s always good to see JAMES MCAVOY give it the cheeky – it’s something to do with the accent, perhaps. And then you’ve got DANIEL RADCLIFFE being all proper and English and everything and you have a partnership that makes you want to see them paired up in every film ever.

In this first of what we all hope is an entire career worth of films together, our dynamic duo have taken on the Mary Shelley novel in a horror film with McAvoy starring as the driven doctor and Radcliffe as his faithful assistant (no hump or lisp, thank goodness).

The film was presented in a very rude and funny panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, a presentation which sits alongside this trailer rather nicely – it, too, has all the swears. Those pesky buggers…

VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN, written by Max Landis and directed by Paul McGuigan, is a new take on the classic Mary Shelley tale, starring DANIEL RADCLIFFE, JAMES MCAVOY, JESSICA BROWN FINDLAY, ANDREW SCOTT, MARK GATISS and CHARLES DANCE. Told from Igor’s perspective, it shows the troubled young assistant’s dark origins, his redemptive friendship with the young medical student Victor Von Frankenstein, and become eyewitnesses to the emergence of how Frankenstein became the man who created the legend we know today. Distributed by 20th Century Fox, it is due for release on 25th November, 2015.
