Home News From The 'Verse Trailer: BLACK PANTHER brings the noise as majesty of Wakanda is revealed

Today is a good day for eager fans of the upcoming chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, BLACK PANTHER, due to hit screens in February next year. Not only do they get an explosive new trailer – showcasing the majesty and beauty of the Panther’s homeland of Wakanda – but a very tasty new poster, unveiled by the movie’s star, Chadwick Boseman, via his Twitter.

The trailer also puts a spotlight on the power play between Boseman’s T’Challa and young pretender Erik Killmonger, played by CREED‘s Michael B. Jordan. The named-rather-much-on-the-nose Killmonger throws his lot in with ANDY SERKIS‘ arms dealer Ulysses Klaue and the standoff puts the entire land of Wakanda in a violent civil war. Hope someone’s put the fine china in a safe place before this rumble in the jungle properly kicks off…

BLACK PANTHER is a upcoming Marvel Studios film, directed by Ryan Coogler, set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and based on the character created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Chadwick Boseman plays T’Challa, the sovereign of the land of Wakanda who soon finds his rule challenged by factions within his own country. When two enemies conspire to bring down the kingdom (Michael B. Jordan‘s Erik Killmonger, and ANDY SERKIS‘ Ulysses Klaue), T’Challa must team up as the Black Panther with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross (MARTIN FREEMAN) and members of the Dora Milaje—Wakanda’s special forces—to prevent a world war. The film also stars Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker and LETITIA WRIGHT. The film is scheduled for a U.S. release date of 16th February 2018 – no word yet on international release..
