Jimmy Kimmel must have dirty photos on the entire superhero movie community because his appears to be the destination of choice on which to reveal the latest look at the upcoming blockbusters.
‘Blockbusters’ being the operative word because, while we know already that Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) holds Superman (HENRY CAVILL) personally responsible for the levelling of Metropolis and will be taking to his Dark Knight persona to prevent the Man Of Steel from doing the same to Gotham, entire city blocks look to be getting the same treatment in the new trailer for BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE unveiled on last nights episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
However, at least we now know that the destruction and mayhem is not entirely down to the colossal bust-up between our two gladiatorial heroes: the trailer reveals what El Mayimbe from Heroic Hollywood has been maintaining all along: the boys are facing a villain from the comics, the monstrous Doomsday, created in this iteration by boy entrepreneur/champion plot foreshadower Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). But they won’t be taking him on alone.
Gal Gadot does appear here as Wonder Woman booted-and-suited, side-by-side, and the three forming the Trinity we know and love from the comics – the bedrock of the Justice League. (No sign of Aquaman (Jason Momoa) or Cyborg (Ray Fisher) yet but they’re the only two elements left of the film that haven’t now been revealed in this film’s bizarre marketing campaign!)
Another familiar aspect – certainly of the more recent film adaptations – of the Batman mythos that seems to be getting an airing in BATMAN v SUPERMAN is the trademark Dark Knight Deep Gravelly Voice Which Is Essential To Keeping The Persona, Duh. Do you think it’s the real reason Bruce keeps Alfred Pennyworth around? That, and to apply the Deep Black eyeliner before Bruce puts on the cowl, obviously…

BATMAN VS SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE is the sequel to 2013’s Man Of Steel, helmed by that film’s director Zack Snyder and written by David S. Goyer and Chris Terrio. It stars HENRY CAVILL as Clark Kent/Superman, with returning cast Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Lawrence Fishburne (Perry White), while also introducing Jesse Eisenburg as nemesis Lex Luthor, JEREMY IRONS as Alfred and Holly Hunter (role to be revealed). The film will serve as a backdoor introduction to the new Justice League, featuring Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg) and Jason Momoa (Aquaman), amongst others. The film is slated for a 26th March, 2016 worldwide release.
