IMAGE COMICS Releases: Wednesday 16th March 2016
Each week, we take a look at the forthcoming IMAGE COMICS titles available in stores, giving you a comprehensive guide to your comics pull list.
Where the hell do we start? Well, it’s fair to say we’ve a fair few collected editions on the racks this week, bringing together some pretty major arcs and series, with Grant Morrison, Chris Burnham and Nathan Fairbairn‘s psychotropic horror NAMELESS getting the Trade Paperback treatment, the final ever, EVER book of WITCHBLADE: BORNE AGAIN (well, if you dont; count Stjepan Sejic‘s SWITCH reboot… shush!!), and the bewitching and compelling PHONOGRAM: THE IMMATERIAL GIRL from Kieron Gillen, Jamie McKelvie and Matthew Wilson, all attracting the lion’s share of attention. That latter book is very much Gillen’s pride and joy, and you can just feel the love the boys have for their baby on every page.
That being said, there’s also some amazing monthly titles hitting the streets, with INJECTION #8 from Warren Ellis, Declan Shalvey and Jordie Bellaire, very much getting its teeth into the shady element of the story this issue; Mark Miller and Rafael Albuquerque reach the penultimate issue of this run of HUCK (last issue next month – c’mon, you have to shed a tear about that); and any week where there’s a new issue of RAT QUEENS out there is a time to dance, scream and screw in the streets – Kurtis Webbe, Tess Fowler and Tamra Bonvillain knocking it out of the park as per bloody usual.
