TWITCHCON is set to take over the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center next week (October 20-22): a preview of the convention is in order. For those not in the know, Twitch is a live streaming video platform (and is a subsidiary of Amazon). TwitchCon is a convention (now in its third year) dedicated to Twitch, and brings in a lot of streamers, as well as video game companies to demo and talk about their releases.
Some of the sponsors and exhibitors for this year include such noteworthy names including Netmarble (who will be showing off their latest release, LINEAGE II REVOLUTION), Alienware, Bob Ross, Amazon’s THE TICK, Intel, WORLD OF WARCRAFT, Logitech, and more.
This years event is set to be larger compared to last year, which took place in the San Diego Convention Center, and includes many panels (titled ‘sessions’), a cosplay contest, talent show, lots of meet and greets with noteworthy streamers from the Twitch community, and of course videogame tournaments, which – rather conveniently – will be streamed on Twitch.
We will be covering the event here on AEISD and interviewing / talking with some of the game publishers at the show about their current and upcoming releases, so bookmark our site and check back here regularly for our coverage!
