Legion M Announces Three New Projects
Legion M kicked off its WonderCon panel, Legion M: How the Power of Fandom is Changing Hollywood, with the announcement of three exciting brand-new projects from the world’s first fan-owned entertainment company. Legion M co-founder Paul Scanlan, COO Terri Lubaroff and head of development David Baxter, along with the series’ creators–who are also Legion M members–revealed details for the very first time.
“Airship Cowboys” by Adam Beason and Jed Rigney (Half-hour animated comedy series):
Archer meets Blazing Saddles. The incredible and bizarre – and possibly true – adventures of a 19th century aircraft and its misfit crew as they travel the United States and the Old West on a government mission of diplomacy and butt kicking.
“Evermor” by Perry Covington and Erik Figi (One-hour sci-fi fantasy Steampunk series)
Orphaned teenage twins, Ellie and Sam, discover a wondrous machine, the Forevertron, which allows them to journey through the multiverse and the almost alien alternate Earths within—finding danger, love, family, and the limitless potential of the human adventure.
“Malice” by Evan Wasserstrom (One-hour drama series)
Imagine a world where Romeo and Juliet didn’t die, and the Montagues and Capulets are the most dangerous of in-laws. Is Philadelphia really the city of brotherly love?
Legion M’s executives also discussed how the company is giving fans a first-ever chance to invest in films and television, and truly be a part of Hollywood and change the way entertainment is made. Founded in 2016, Legion M is a first-of-its-kind company conceived and created to be owned by fans. Legion M has raised more than $3 million in equity crowdfunding. The global Legion M community has grown to more than 30,000 members, including more than 7,000 fan-owners.
