Home News From The 'Verse Movies UPDATE: Batman V Superman Dawn Of Justice – new IMAX event posters...

This last Saturday, just gone? Myself and t’Missus were attending an all-day wedding, either in a church or in a wedding reception with the worst internet capabilities going. Which means I was completely unable to post about how a cameraphone-recorded leak of the BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE trailer made it out into the wild, very late on Friday night and how, in an effort to control the flow of blood in the water, in a viral internet sense, Zack Snyder released the full HD version, very early on Saturday morning.

Look, you’ll have seen this a couple of times by now – 20.4 million views in two days but who’s counting, right? – but let’s include it here for completest sake, yeah? And Ten Points for me for not playing the ‘Do you bleed? …You will!’ line in the church, just as the bride and groom were about to say, ‘I do’! (Yes, yes, Caroline would’ve killed me…)

UPDATE (20/04/2015): The disappointment would have been more keenly felt by those North American Bats Vs Supes fans that had watched the five second teaser for the IMAX trailer screening event, that then felt that the carpet had been pulled from underneath them with the online release. However, Snyder has reassured fans that not only is attending the event going to be uniquely worth it…

…they are also going to be able to get their grubby little mitts on a choice of two posters, just for showing up. With a DIY aesthetic, reminiscent to the Christopher Nolan of the Joker Vandalism campaign, these two anti-Heroes posters will soon be gracing the walls of lucky ‘Mericans after this very evening. What’s that you say? UK IMAX screening events? Yeah, right. We’re not bitter.

We’re getting Age Of Ultron a week before you, okay?? How’d you like dem apples??

BATMAN VS SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE is the sequel to 2013’s Man Of Steel, helmed by that film’s director Zack Snyder and written by David S. Goyer and Chris Terrio. It stars HENRY CAVILL as Clark Kent/Superman, with returning cast Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Lawrence Fishburne (Perry White), while also introducing Jesse Eisenburg as nemesis Lex Luthor, JEREMY IRONS as Alfred and Holly Hunter (role to be revealed). The film will serve as a backdoor introduction to the new Justice League, featuring Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg) and Jason Momoa (Aquaman), amongst others. The film is slated for a 26th March, 2016 worldwide release.
