It’s the 28th August 2017, and this means today would have been the 100th Birthday of one of the masters of the comics industry, a true tenet of the art form: Jack ‘The King’ Kirby, born Jacob Kurtzberg in New York City, the co-creator of characters which are household names today – the Fantastic Four, the Hulk, the X-Men and many more – a man who influences artists and writers to this day and will for decades to come.
