After the massive success of the Marvel Comics STAR WARS releases to date, it’s understandable that the publisher wants to capitalise by getting another title on the shelves… Sure, it was only a matter of time that the galaxy’s favourite scoundrel got his own solo comic. Heh.
But I have to admit, I disappointed by the choice of character they’ve chosen to lead this latest book. I mean, c’mon. Where’s the standalone titles that the fans really want? Where’s Greg Rucka‘s STAR WARS: BOBA FETT? Why haven’t we had STAR WARS: FIGRIN D’AN & THE MODAL NODES, with the STAR WARS team-up by Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie? (And don’t tell me that wouldn’t be right up their street.) Where the hell’s my Brian Michael Bendis‘ STAR WARS: NIEN NUNB, for snarking sake?!!
I’m not bitter.
