At CinemaCon 2017, held at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, participating studios present their wares for the upcoming season. The largest and most important gathering of movie theater owners from around the world, since taking its first step in 2011, CinemaCon has evolved and grown to become the largest and most important gathering for the worldwide motion picture theater industry. CinemaCon is truly a global event attracting attendees from more than 80 countries.

Here, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING director Jon Watts talks to the thrill and excitement of presenting the new trailer to a eager CinemaCon audience, to the challenge of presenting a Marvel Cinematic Universe story from a ‘ground-level perspective’, and the universal relatability of Peter Parker (played by TOM HOLLAND) being a kid with extraordinary abilities trying to do good in a world becoming more and more populated by larger than life heroes…

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. Directed by Jon Watts, with a screenplay by Jonathan M. Goldstein & John Francis Daley (and others), the film stars TOM HOLLAND, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.. Following the events of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, Peter Parker, with the help of his mentor Tony Stark, tries to balance his life as an ordinary high school student in Queens, New York City with fighting crime as his superhero alter ego Spider-Man as a new threat, the Vulture, emerges. The film is scheduled for a 7th July 2017 release in the United States – fingers crossed for a one-week-early release in the UK?
