(Cartoonist: MAD MAGAZINE / GROO THE WANDERER)
One of MAD magazine’s longest-running cartoonists (only Al Jaffee has been around longer) and the creator of dim-witted barbarian GROO THE WANDERER, Sergio Aragonés is one of comics’ most popular creators. He has won every major cartooning award including the Reuben, the Comic-Con Icon award, the Will Eisner Hall of Fame award, various other Eisners, various Harveys, and even has two awards named for him.
In addition to his continuing work for MAD, Sergio had his own comic book series at Bongo Comics, SERGIO ARAGONES FUNNIES. He continues to draw Groo for Dark Horse Comics and is presently working on a series in which Groo meets Tarzan, of all people!
(Writer / Artist: CATWOMAN / LADY KILLER; Artist: BATMAN)
Joëlle Jones is an Eisner Award-nominated artist currently living and working in Los Angeles, CA. Since attending PNCA in Portland, OR, she has contributed to a wide range of projects. She is currently writing and drawing CATWOMAN and recently finished a run on BATMAN, both for DC Comics. She also wrote and drew the series, LADY KILLER, published by Dark Horse Comics.
Jones has also provided the art for fashion designer Prada, and various projects for Marvel, BOOM!, Vertigo, Oni Press, and the New York Times. Joëlle currently has projects with DC Comics as well as continuing her series LADY KILLER.
(Author: FORGOTTEN REALMS / CRIMSON SHADOW / DEMONWARS Series)
Thirty years ago, R. A. Salvatore created the character of Drizzt Do’Urden, the dark elf who has withstood the test of time to stand today as an icon in the fantasy genre. His novels in the FORGOTTEN REALMS, CRIMSON SHADOW, DEMONWARS, and other series, have sold more than thirty million copies worldwide and have appeared on the New York Times bestseller list more than two dozen times.
He splits his time between Massachusetts and California, with his wife, Diane, and their three dogs, Ivan, Pikel, and Dexter. He still plays softball for his team, Clan Battlehammer, and enjoys his weekly DemonWars:RPG game.
NOAH VAN SCIVER
(Cartoonist: FANTE BUKOWSKI: STRUGGLING WRITER Series / ONE DIRTY TREE)
Noah Van Sciver is an Ignatz Award-winning cartoonist who first came to comic readers’ attention with his critically acclaimed comic book series BLAMMO. His work has appeared in SPONGEBOB COMICS, TEENAGE MUTABTT NINJA TURTLES, THE BEST AMERICAN COMICS, as well as countless graphic anthologies.
Van Sciver is a regular contributor to MAD MAGAZINE and has created five graphic novels including JOHNNY APPLESEED, SAINT COLE, and the Eisner Award-nominated FANTE BUKOWSKI: STRUGGLING WRITER series for Fantagraphics books. He is currently working on an autobiographical graphic novel titled One Dirty Tree, which will be released by Uncivilized Books.
