Home Con News SDCC 2015: WB Television announces Comic-Con panel line-up, inc massive Superhero Saturday...

our cup o teaVariety are reporting on the confirmed line-up of Warner Bros. Television shows making appearances at San Diego Comic-Con 2015, including five new series debuting at the event – and, hey, we’re sorry for making this all about us but some of these shows will be featuring… Brits!

Making their SDCC débuts will be: highly anticipated Supergirl, which will have a pilot screening as part of a massive Superhero Saturday event, taking place in Hall H; the full cast from Arrow/The Flash spin-off DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow will introducing themselves at this panel, too; typical to be casting a Brit as the bad guy – and you don’t get much badder than Lucifer, played by Welsh actor TOM ELLIS; the MCU’s own Lady Sif, Jaimie Alexander, will be showcasing her new high-concept thriller Blindspot, along with its production team and writers; and another Brit will be in attendance in the lead role as London-born DAVID GYASI and fellow cast members will be bringing the pilot episode of biological thriller Containment.

(Other Brits winging their way to San Diego will be JOSEPH MORGAN for The OriginalsRAHUL KOHLI for iZombie and MARK SHEPPARD for Supernatural – yes, yes, alright, they probably won’t be jumping on the Economy flight from Terminal 3 at Manchester but instead internal flights from their swanky American sub-lets. But while they still own U.K. passports, they technically still belong to us, okay?)

About that ‘Superhero Saturday’… this will be the second consecutive year that WB Television will take over Hall H for a massive evening of content, with appearances from the cast and crew of hit shows such as Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, the afore-mentioned Supergirl and DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, and brand-new digital series Vixen. The announcement of this panel has exhilarated and frustrated in equal measure as Arrow fans have suddenly realised that their favourite piece of beefcake in green, Stephen Amell, will not be getting a panel of his own, instead sharing the stage with his DC Entertainment properties stable-mates. Take it where you can get it, right?

Returning to Comic-Con this year will be established favourites such as Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, Person Of Interest and The Big Bang Theory – although, for another year, it won’t be the TBBT cast making their panel appearance but instead it will be a Writers Room affair. ([rant commences] Good. Last thing we need is a row of actors, plainly looking like they’re taking the piss out of us nerds in the audience, up there on stage, when they’d obviously prefer to be somewhere else, spending all of that syndication moolah and polishing their Emmys [rant concludes].)
