Home Con News SDCC 2015: the ever-growing Comic-Con Campus continues to expand into San Diego

logo - comic-con thumbnail (distressed)As part of their daily Toucan Blog Tips Of The Day, Comic-Con International have posted their plans to expand further beyond the confines of the San Diego Convention Center and grow into the city even further in 2015, in what they call ‘The Comic-Con Campus’.

It actually makes total sense to do so: while the allotted 130,00 people may have landed badges for the core event, the space available keeps getting more and more crowded, especially with many thousands more descending on the city to either soak up the ambience of Comic-Con or to experience the many satellite off-site events that take place. In previous years, CCI have utilised and partnered with venues in San Diego, putting in programming and allowing them to continue operating in the city – this is merely a continuation of those plans.

From the Toucan Blog Tip Of The Day:

“It seems like every year Comic-Con International grows a bit more. This year there’s another new addition to what we like to call the “Comic-Con Campus,” a group of downtown programming venues that are outside of the Convention Center. We’ve put together a handy-dandy  map to show you where they all are in relationship to the mothership: the San Diego Convention Center.
