You know what massive fans we are of the Thought Bubble Sequential Arts Festival, held between the 9th/16th November in Leeds – we, for one, cannot wait to see what the organisers have in store for the comic con that they put on at the Royal Armouries Dock on the last two days of the Festival, the Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th. If it’s anything like last year, it should be one hell of an event.
Actually, it’ll be nothing like last year, whatsoever – the whole layout has changed with the introduction of a HUGE tented area in the middle of the piazza of the Armouries and they’ve added to a massive line-up of features and attractions which should pique the interest of any avid comics fan. (The Alan Moore screening and Q&A especially catches my eye. Curious to see if we’ll have any of the controversy that we had at the last major one Alan attended? And whether I should take my Absolute Watchmen along for him to sign? Hmmm. Probably not.)
I won’t be volunteering at TB this time round, I’ll be heading along in a more journalistic capacity, hopefully arranging a couple of interviews and meet-ups, as well as popping along to the famous Thought Bubble Party, held this year at the Leeds City Hall. A bit more of a prestigious venue this year. Here’s hoping it doesn’t complete take away from the legendary debauchery that usually accompanies this event!
Without anymore to do, here’s the official release, courtesy of the wonderful Thought Bubble Blog:

We recently opened up this year’s Thought Bubble Comic Art Competition and 2000 AD Portfolio Competitions for entries, and we (and Tharg the Mighty) want to see your art and stories!

We’ve now sent out an email confirming all our exhibitors hall allocations for this year’s convention, so if you’re tabling with us and haven’t received an email notification, please (after first checking your spam/junk folder) send an email to martha[at]thoughtbubblefestival[dot]com
We’re currently in the process of prepping everyone’s exhibitor icons to go up on the website, so please send yours over as soon as possible, and if you’re sharing a table/s, please remember to send us one for each exhibitor who’ll be in attendance.
General public party passes for this year’s Saturday night mid-con shindig are now all sold out, and exhibitor passes are very close to all being sold, so a big thank you to everyone who’s bought one so far!
Passes for the convention can still be bought, and there’s no cap on sales, so we hope to see a lot of you in November to join in the fun! Tickets can be bought by visiting http://thoughtbubblefestival.com/information/tickets/
This year’s Thought Bubble Anthology is published 22/10/14 from Image Comics and will be available in all good comic shops worldwide! Featuring 32 pages of new original content, and with all profits from its sale going to The Barnardo’s Charity, we hope you’ll add it to your pull-list and enjoy reading it as much as we did putting it all together!
More information on the anthology can be found at http://thoughtbubblefestival.com/anthology-2014/ and a preview of the cover can be seen below.
