Want to own a one-off Boulet? Or a unique piece by Danielle Corsetto, or Jason Latour, or Babs Tarr? How about a Cliff Chiang, an Emily Carroll, a Vanesa R. Del Rey, or even a Natasha Allegri? Well, thanks to those wonderful boys and girls at Thought Bubble Sequential Art Festival, you have that very chance – and you could help raise some money for a very worthy cause in the process.
These eight artists were part of the regular Sketching Spotlights that took place at last November’s festival, where, over two days, they went up on stage and talked to moderator Peter Doherty, discussing their creative process and their approach to comics – it was an amazing set of panels, not only for the fact that we got to see these incredible artists drawing live in front of an enthusiastic audience.
(Here’s the first video of the Saturday panel – click here to check out the playlist of the Saturday, and also here for the playlist of the Sunday panels…)
Thanks to these wonderful people being the generous angels that they are, they are allowing TBF to auction off the resulting pieces on their eBay page to raise funds for most excellent organisation The Barnardo’s Charity (http://www.barnardos.org.uk/). These are one-off pieces, too, so they should be able to bring in a sizeable sum – the auction will run for ten days from 10am, Monday 26th January until 10am on Thursday 5th February, and is open to people worldwide.
Here are the pieces, up for grabs – click on the images to see bigger versions, and then click on link below to be taken to the corresponding eBay auction.
…and best of luck! If you do take a punt on these amazing sketches, do let us know how you do.
