icon - a london super comic con thumbnailWith only three weeks to go, you’d have thought that all of the full talent lined up for London Super Comic Con had been let out of the bag by now – not the case. Organisers have announced five more names to be added to the roster of incredible talent appearing at the ExCel Center in London on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March 2015.

TV host and comics writer Jonathan Ross will be on hand to talk about his latest project, Revenge (created in collaboration with Ian Churchill); award-winning artist Henry Flint, will be showcasing the forthcoming sequel to classic Dredd strip Titan; The Losers/Ultimate X-Men artist Ben Oliver will be talking about his work with Andy Diggle, due later this year; and acclaimed artist Yannis Roumboulias and DC Comics artist Alessandro Vitti will both have spaces in the Artist Alley of the Exhibition Floor, for fans to pop past and say hi. All of these cracking creators will be joining the likes of Neal Adams, Garth Ennis, Charlie Adlard, Brian Bolland, Dave Gibbons and John Romita, Jr. for the duration of the weekend. (Please be aware that Ross will only be appearing on the Saturday of London Super Comic Con so get him while you can.)

LSCC have revealed the floor maps for this years event on their Facebook page – it’s almost game time so familiarise yourself with the layout to get the most of your weekend.

HENRY FLINT (Artist: 2000AD, Fear Itself): Flint is the artist on the bestselling Dredd movie comic Underbelly. He has worked for 2000AD on Judge Dredd, Nemesis, ABC Warriors among many others and won the Diamond National Comics Award for best comic artist in 2004 for Judge Dredd vs Aliens. Flint’s American works include The Omega Men, Haunted Tank and Fear Itself Fearsome Four. Aces Weekly have published his self-penned comic Catalyst Island, and his art book Broadcast the TV Doodles of Henry Flint by Markosia has received celebrated reviews.

He is currently working on a sequel to the popular Judge Dredd story Titan with Rob Williams.

Henry does not have a table in Artist Alley. He will be signing at 11.30 -13.00 on Saturday and Sunday at the 2000AD booth (B12)

BEN OLIVER (Artist: 2000AD, The Authority, The Losers): Oliver broke into comics in 2000 with a brief stint at 2000AD before joining young upstarts Com.X for whom he illustrated Puncture. He moved into the American market in 2003, and has worked for both DC and Marvel Comics on titles as varied as The Authority, Vigilante, The Losers, Ultimate X-Men, Young X-Men, Ghost Rider, Batwing and Action Comics. Most recently Ben worked on Multiversity – The Just, with Grant Morrison. He is currently working with Andy Diggle at Dynamite on the upcoming series Control.

Ben also turned One Direction into superheroes in the movie One Direction: This Is Us.

JONATHAN ROSS (Writer: Turf, America’s Got Powers, Revenge): Jonathan is the writer of the very well received prohibition era noir thriller Turf with artist Tommy Lee Edward published by Image Comics. He followed this with America’s Got Powers in collaboration with artist Bryan Hitch, and is currently collaborating on Revenge, a tale of violence and vengeance in with artist Ian Churchill.

Jonathan will be attending the convention on SATURDAY ONLY and will be at Artist Alley table A0

YANNIS ROUMBOULIAS (Artist: The Dragonphoenix Chronicles, Spawn Godslayer, Syndrom): Yannis “Rubus” Roumboulias has been working as a professional illustrator and comic book artist since 2005. He is the creator, writer and artist of the first Greek critically acclaimed and award winning ongoing sword and sorcery series, The Dragonphoenix Chronicles published by Soul Twinkles Publications. He has worked as the cover artist for the Greek edition of Image Comic’s Spawn Godslayer by Comicworld Editions, guest artist in the Comicdome Press mini-series, Syndrom and as a political cartoonist for 3.5 years for the newspaper, Vima.

He has worked with US publisher, Arcana, on several comic projects including Deadly Harvest, Gene Simmons: Zipper Vs Dominatrix Anthology and The Steam Engines of Oz. Currently, he is working on a new limited series called Arhian: Head Huntress for the newcomers, Arh Comix Studios!

Yannis Roumboulias will be located at the Comicworld booth (Booth 22)

ALESSANDRO VITTI (Artist: Captain America & Hawkeye, Secret Warriors): Vitti is an Italian artist who has been in the industry since 2001 and has worked with most major European publishers as well as Marvel Comics & DC Comics. He is probably best known for his work on Captain America & Hawkeye, Fear Itself, New Warriors and Secret Warriors with John Hickman, but his most recent work is for DC on Red Lantern.

Alessandro will be located at Scott’s Collectables tables (D533-D537)
