Home Con News LFCC 2015: Guardians’ Sean Gunn, Musketeers’ Luke Pasqualino, Who’s Catherine Tate confirmed...

icon - a london film & comic con thumbnailThe London Film & Comic Con event, organised by Showmasters and held at the Olympia in the Capital on the weekend of 17th-19th July 2015, already has a staggering Special Guest lineup booked – Hollywood luminaries as appearing-in-too-much-to-mention(-oh-go-on-then-Harry PotterMichael Gambon, Aliens’ Sigourney Weaver and Bill Paxton, and – rather excitingly – a whole raft of stars from the Back To The Future Trilogy, including Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox, are already confirmed, with many more on the list.

Here at An Englishman In San Diego, we’ve held off on doing a Master Post about the names on show, purely because we got the sneaking suspicion that Showmasters weren’t quite done – and we were right.

Today, they have added even more names from the small and big screen, including some familiar to UK viewers as well as fans of blockbusters from across the pond.

From the smash hit BBC series The Musketeers, heartthrob Luke ‘D’Artagnian’ Pasqualino will be on hand (joining his co-star Tom Burke); Reeve Carney will be representing the gothic Penny Dreadful; U.S. character actor Tom Savini will be telling tales from the Django Unchained and Dawn Of The Dead sets and, last but not least, former Doctor Who companion Catherine Tate will be ready and willing to say hi and pose for all the Tenth Doctor cosplayers in attendance – of which there will be, no doubt, plenty on show!

But that’s not all. Fans of US cult series Gilmore Girls will be more than familiar with the work of Sean Gunn, brother of Guardians Of The Galaxy director James (Sean also made an appearance in the 2014 Marvel Studios mega-hit as Kraglin, Michael (Yondu) Rooker‘s first mate, as well as performing as on-set stand-in for Rocket Raccoon). Gunn will visiting as he joins his brother for the pre-production preparation of the Guardians sequel, as well as catching up with good friends – and summer weather – here in the UK.
