LFCC 2014: ANTHONY STEWART HEAD added to lineup / Lena Headly, David Wenham, Pedro Pascal, Peter Mayhew cancel dates

London Film & Comic-Con takes place this weekend at Earls Court in – where else? – that there London, from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th July… and preparations to make it quite the grand affair are still underway. Honestly, it’s like Musical Chairs down there.

But life does make it a habit of interrupting which means a number of confirmed guests have been announced of changing their plans, if not cancelling them completely.

For example, Lena Headey (Game Of Thrones) and David Wenham (Lord Of The Rings) have unfortunately cancelled their attendance on the Friday and – steel yourselves, ladies – Pedro Pascal (Game Of Thrones) won’t be able to make it at all. Yup, from the reactions on Twitter, that’s the one that’s really hurt.

Another announced weekend cancellation of Peter Mayhew (Star Wars), a show favourite, isn’t going to be too popular, either, but we can only hope that it’s because he’s going to be too busy on a J.J. Abrams set, somewhere. Fingers crossed – there’s been no reason given for Peter’s no-show and everyone at AEISD hope he’s well.

It’s not all doom and gloom, however. The organisers have managed to secure an additional signing slot with Stan Lee for existing ticket holders as part of his announced ‘Final European Appearance’ on the Friday – here’s hoping they don’t work the Man into the ground with all of this, the guy is ninety-one, after all.

And, last but not least, LFCC are still adding to the roster of stars attending the show, namely complete and utter legends Buffy The Vampire Slayer/Doctor Who/Merlin star, Anthony Stewart Head (appearing on Saturday), and bonefide movie star Michael Biehn (Aliens/The Abyss), who will be attending on Saturday and Sunday for autograph and photo sessions.
