With what will already be a packed week for the dude, Chris Hardwick has added to his busy schedule by including a earlier evening show to the Nerdist Live performance on Saturday 26th July, held at the Balboa Theatre in San Diego. Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster right now and list the show as taking place at 7.30pm PST; if you were unable to bag tickets first-time round for the originally listed show, this might be another chance to see the boys live.
Ardent fans, however, have mixed feelings about this new addition: which of the shows is going to be recorded live to be broadcasted as the Nerdist Podcast? Is any Special Guest they get on stage going to be the same person for both shows, meaning that stuff they talk about is going to be repeated and the later show feel a bit tired? Is there going to be a different Special Guest for each show? So many questions… so many questions…!
And there’s more. Is this first one going to be more of a ‘Hostful Goodness’ ‘pod, with only Chris, Matt Mira and Jonah Ray on stage, meaning that people heading to this earlier show are going to be slightly conned out of the later, fuller experience? And, absolutely most importantly, doesn’t this mean that Jonah and Matt could get so drunk, doing two shows back-to-back, that Chris is going to lose control of the whole thing anyway?
Actually, no, this sounds like it could be a blast. And we could actually witness the self-destruction of the Nerdist Podcast, live, right before our very eyes. Witnessing history, people!
Get your tickets here, people.
