It’s one of Netflix‘s biggest hits – a complex and character-driven reinvention of the classic US sci-fi telly series, LOST IN SPACE – and it’s representing at San Diego Comic-Con next week as part of the streaming content providers massive presence at the con. Two events have been announced: one in collaboration with Nerdist House (the off-site location being brought to the con by Nerdist Industries) and featuring a ‘Robo Romance’ setup, playing off the meme when Season 1 came out which saw Ribit getting quite the amorous attention online; and one as an invite-only ‘dance party, featuring a DJ set from Robot’, held at the Oxford Social Club, a prestige nightclub venue in the city. Popular with the ladies? Handy behind the decks. As a professional jock of over thirty years, I’m beginning to feel personally attacked. Sunavabitch is going to replace me.
