This July, Felicia Day, Wil Wheaton and the rest of the GEEK & SUNDRY posse – yes, I called them a posse, get over it – will be taking over the awesome space on the Prominade of Petco Park, along with Nerdist Industries. There’s no word yet of what Hardwick & Co. has up their sleeves but G&S have posted some tasters of what fans can experience from their contribution.
They’ve released panel details of what Geek & Sundry has to offer over in the Convention Center – fully expect to see plenty of huffing and puffing and running backwards and forward over the Hilton Bayfront Bridge from Day and the team…
From the Geek & Sundry website:
GEEK & SUNDRY’S HEADING TO SDCC: HERE’S WHERE YOU CAN COME SAY HI!
Do you feel it? There’s an electricity in the air: the collective energy force that comes from fandom obsession, cosplay planning, and panel-going strategizing. That’s right, kids, it’s the most wonderful time of the year: San Diego Comic-Con International 2015! And for those lucky enough to get the chance to head down to Southern California’s hottest (literally and figuratively, natch) celebration for all things nerdily geektastical, well, we’ve got an even more exciting bit of business for you, though we may be a bit biased. Because Geek & Sundry will be heading to SDCC, too! (GASP!), and we’ve got a veritable smorgasbord of good-time festivities and swiggity-swagtastic goodies you’re going to want and need in your life.
Over at Petco Park, the headquarters for us and our siblings sites The Nerdist and Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls, we’ve got quite the battle set up for those who believe themselves worthy medieval fighters. By that we mean we’re hosting The Joust, a gladiator-style bouncy ring wherein you and your friends can fight to the not-death. We’ll also be having more fun than a barrel of monkeys at our TableTop gaming nook, where there’s a chance you could win a Geek Out promo pack (while supplies last — we’re a hot commodity, just sayin’). We’ll also have a sweet, sweet opportunity to take a photo with a fire-breathing dragon! Uh, best Comic-Con ever?
But that doesn’t even include our panels and on-stage shenanigans, of which there are many!
- Matthew Mercer and the cast of our Twitch sensation, Critical Role, will be on the main PetCo stage on Thursday from 4-5pm.
- Over on the main stage, Felicia Day will be talking about all things G&S and her book Friday from 1:15-2:15 — complete with a fan signing immediately after.
- Wil Wheaton and some of the cast of Titansgrave will be chatting with fans on our main stage Saturday from 11:15 – 12:15 on Saturday.
- We’ve also invited our good friend Greg Miller to record a live podcast of Kinda Funny — check that out at 3:15pm on Saturday on the studio stage.
- And just because we love Amy Dallen and Hector Navarro of The Pull so much, they will be interviewing some of our favorite talent from the comic book world throughout the con weekend in Petco Park, so keep yer eyeglobes peeled for that.
Not only that, but Felicia, Wil, Ryon, and the rest of the gang will be partying it up on panels at Comic-Con proper! Check them out on Thursday for fun, surprises, and possibly giveaways (yeah, there will be giveaways):
